Steve McGrath
- Fine Art & Fashion Photographer
Steve's interest in photography sparked when he saw an image in the Sunday Telegraph magazine roughly five years ago. The image showcased an oriental girl half kneeling against a corrugated shop-front eating a melon. "There was something beautiful about the image that I struggled to articulate, and it ruined the essence when I tried".
"It was my first introduction to photography as an 'art'. I decided that photography was a world I wanted to explore and began to study the medium at degree level. After spending the first couple of years focusing on the genre of 'documentary/reportage' work, I've found I'm equally suited
to a studio environment, where I'm currently working on a series of contemporary Christian imagery, and other works in the fine-art and fashion vein".
"I'm confident I can produce some great work within this medium, and will strive forward until I have achieved my ambitious goals".
Steve's latest series of contemporary Christian imagery explores the human aspect of the Persecution through using life-models and will be on display at I Am Camera.
