Artist Statement - "Keeping up to date with modern technology is something of the norm, but for the older generation, it can be found frustrating and time consuming. The general tourist likes to be able to document their travels with ease. But with disposable cameras decreasing in demand, highly technical compact flash cameras take over; there is an uphill battle to understand the complexity of these recording devices.
 Two Cities is about the notion of the tourist and the atmosphere within these attractions, photographing what we feel needs to be a permanent memory. The tourist will document their journeys, as a sense of proof that they have been. The memories become far less important than the images they have taken. From Barcelona to Birmingham, the places themselves are irrelevant; the subject’s behaviour is what holds relevance this project. Tourism is an ever growing industry, and there is something intriguing in what drives us to travel in this nature"
